Why Trouvé Exists

I read the word trouvé in a book years ago, and it’s always stuck with me.

It means “found.” Simple, but meaningful. Over time, it became a word I kept coming back to as I thought about the work I was doing, the industries I cared about, and the kinds of brands I was naturally drawn to. So many of them were already doing the work and producing real results, but their story wasn’t always being told in a way that reflected the quality behind it.

For a long time, this didn’t have a name! It started as a way to stay connected to the horse racing industry while building a career in marketing. A few social posts here. A website refresh there. Helping clients show up more clearly and feel confident in how their brand was represented.

Over time, that side project grew into something more.

Trouvé Agency is the result of years spent working at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and industries that are deeply personal to me, especially the equine and horse racing world. It exists for brands that don’t need to be louder or flashier, just more intentional and aligned with who they really are.

A Little About Me

I’m Shayna Tiller, founder of Trouvé Agency.

I’m originally from Laurel, Maryland, and grew up going to the racetrack with my dad. From the beginning, I was hooked. Not just on the racing itself, but on the people, the horses, and everything that happens behind the scenes. I knew early on that I wanted to find my place in the industry and build a career around it.

In high school, I worked at the racetrack with racetrack veterinarians while also completing a research project focused on Lasix. I continued my education at the University of Maryland and later at Delaware Valley University, where I graduated with a degree in Equine Science.

Throughout college, I fully immersed myself in the industry. I spent three summers working for The Saratoga Special, worked on a breeding farm in Saratoga during school breaks, interned at Fasig-Tipton, and completed the Irish National Stud course after graduation. After returning to the US, I worked for several consignors as a sales coordinator and later as a marketing and client manager at a large Kentucky training farm.

After years of living completely inside the industry, I reached a point where I needed a reset and wanted to learn outside of it. I moved into corporate sales and brand management, combining my second passion in life, drinking beer, with professional marketing experience. That shift eventually brought me to Charleston, South Carolina, where I built a strong foundation in strategy, structure, and brand management in a corporate beverage environment.

I still live and breathe horses. I own an off-the-track Thoroughbred named Solo, whom I brought home in 2024 as a three-year-old, and I spend my free time fox hunting, trail riding, and eventing. At the same time, I bring a more structured, results-driven marketing mindset back into the equine industry, shaped by years of experience outside of it.

What I’m Building

Trouvé Agency is a boutique brand and marketing agency focused on the equine and horse racing industry, with room to grow alongside like-minded, performance-driven brands.

The work is thoughtful and intentional. Branding, content, and marketing that actually support the business behind it. No fluff. No overcomplication. Just clear, honest work built to last.

I work closely with my clients. I care deeply about the details. And I believe the best marketing comes from truly understanding an industry, not just posting cute pictures into it.

What’s Next

This blog is part of that intention! It’s a place to share insights, ideas, and behind-the-scenes perspectives on branding and storytelling within the equine industry and beyond. Some posts will be practical. Some reflective. All grounded in real experience.

Trouvé is still growing, and so am I. But the mission is simple.

Great brands deserve to be found. Trouvé exists to make sure they are.
